FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for preparing a cyclic polyester oligomer composition comprising a cyclic polyester oligomer having furan units, herewith the said method comprises the stage of either: (I) reaction of monomeric component C1 or D1 in the presence of an optional catalyst and/or an optional organic base in the oligomerization stage with the cycle closure under the reaction temperature and reaction time conditions sufficient to produce the cyclic polyester oligomer having furan units of structure Y1, where monomeric component C1 contains the following structure: , and where each of the A groups is optionally a substituted linear, a branched or a cyclic alkyl, phenyl, aryl or alkylaryl, and where I is an integer from 1 to 100, preferably from 2 to 50, most preferably from 3 to 25, and where R1 = OH, OR, a halogen atom or O-A-OH, R = optionally substituted a linear, a branched or a cyclic alkyl, phenyl, aryl or alkylaryl, R2 = H or , where monomeric component D1 contains the following structure: , and where A is optionally a substituted linear, a branched or a cyclic alkyl, phenyl, aryl or alkylaryl, and where each of the X groups is OH, a halogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyloxy, phenoxy or aryloxy group, and where the X groups are not OH when A is n-butyl, and where structure Y1 of the cyclic polyester oligomer having furan units has the following form: , where m is an integer from 1 to 20, preferably from 2 to 15, most preferably from 3 to 10; or: (II) reaction of monomeric component C2 or D2 in the presence of an optional catalyst and/or an optional organic base in the oligomerization stage with the cycle closure under the reaction temperature and reaction time conditions sufficient to produce the cyclic polyester oligomer having furan units of structure Y2, where monomeric component C2 contains the following structure: , and where each of the B groups is optionally a substituted linear, a branched or a cyclic alkyl, phenyl, aryl or alkylaryl, where I is an integer as defined above, and where n' is an integer from 1 to 20, preferably from 2 to 10, and where R3 = OH, OR, a halogen atom or O-(BO)n'-H, R = optionally substituted a linear, a branched or a cyclic alkyl, phenyl, aryl or alkylaryl, R4 = H or , where monomeric component D2 contains the following structures: , and where each of the X groups is OH, a halogen atom or an optionally substituted alkyloxy, phenoxy or aryloxy group, each of the B groups is optionally a substituted linear, a branched or a cyclic alkyl, phenyl, aryl or alkylaryl, and n' is an integer as described above, and where structure Y2 of the cyclic polyester oligomer having furan units has the following form: , where each of the B groups is optionally a substituted linear, a branched or a cyclic alkyl, phenyl, aryl or alkylaryl, n' is an integer as defined above, and m is an integer from 1 to 20, preferably from 2 to 15, most preferably from 3 to 10: and subsequent step (III), in which linear oligomeric polyester compounds having furan units are separated and removed from the cyclic oligomeric composition. Also described is a cyclic polyester oligomer composition for use in the manufacture of a polyester polymer obtained by the above described method, containing less than 5 wt % of linear oligomeric polyester compounds having furan units, basing on the total weight of the composition. Method is described for preparing polyester comprising (i) the above specified method for preparing a cyclic oligomer composition containing a cyclic polyester oligomer having furan units, with stage (ii) of subsequent polymerization to produce the polyester polymer. Also described is the use of the above specified cyclic polyester oligomer composition in producing the polyester polymer.

EFFECT: technical result is preparing a cyclic polyester oligomer composition, when using which for producing a polyester polymer there is no formation of large amounts of volatile by-products.
