SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a smoking article, for example a filter cigarette. Smoking article includes wrapped tobacco rod (1) and a filter that includes filter material (2) and outer wrap (3) of the plug, wherein wrapped tobacco rod (1) and filter (2, 3) being connected by wrapping paper (4) that covers filter (2, 3) and a part of wrapped tobacco rod (1), wherein outer wrap (3) of the plug is opaque and contains activated carbon, wherein tipping paper (4) is provided with at least one opening (5), which exposes the surface of outer wrap (3) of the plug, the total area of openings (5) varying in the range of 20 to 200 mm².

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to reduce a bad smell of fingers.
