FIELD: light industry, in particular, production of upholstered, kitchen, office furniture. SUBSTANCE: method involves making portion of panel surfaces facing outer side of furniture from wood processed by deep impregnation method to form outer surface with finish resembling that of valuable trees. To do that, newly cut trees are used or wood is subjected to thermal treatment to provide at least 60% of natural humidity. Method further involves sawing wood into blocks; feeding blocks to accumulator with centering member; gripping block to mount it on retainer with rigid conical head and conical pneumatic member made from resilient material, with rigidity varying across section of retainer; securing block on retainer by creating pressure of 4-5 atm by pneumatic member so that hermetically sealed cavity is defined between block end and pneumatic member; performing dyeing of blocks by dye preliminarily prepared in two stages: at first stage concentrate is obtained by introducing dye into water heated to at least 95 C, with dye being taken in an amount of 2.5-5.0 g/l of water, at second stage concentrate is pumped into working vessel containing water with temperature of 60-70 C; mixing to obtain ready dye; effectuating dyeing under pressure by supplying mixture into hermetically sealed vessel; providing filtration of mixture along block and simultaneously forcing wood juice through opposite end of block till dye appears over the whole surface of block section; effectuating dyeing in succession from opposite ends of block by turning it through 180 deg, with block being preliminarily released from retainer, or retainer with second conical head having conical pneumatic member cooperating with second end of block being used; relieving air from pneumatic member to release block. Sawing of blocks for obtaining furniture parts of predetermined shape is effectuated after deep dye impregnation, then parts are arranged in predetermined position with following joining of all parts and panels. EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved quality of furniture. 45 cl, 1 tbl
