FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: fluid transfer device, such as syringe (302), comprises fluid reservoir (cylinder) (304) communicating with male connector (306), which is made conical to form frictional mating when inserted into the corresponding female packing. Detachment component, for example in the form of lever member (314), has front surface (318) movable along male connector (306) between the first position proximal to cylinder (304) and the second position offset from the first position to the distal end of male connector (306), for its release from friction mating. Retaining means (324) is arranged to retain the female packing after its release from the frictional mating with lever element (314) as it moves to its second position. Means (324) can be released when lever member (314) under the elastic action of spring tab (322) rotates back to its first position.

EFFECT: apparatus for transferring a fluid is provided.
