FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to electrical measurement methods and are intended to determine the level and conductivity of an electroconductive liquid in tanks under conditions of an uncontrolled change in its conductivity. Inventions are based on excitation of electromagnetic oscillations at a resonance frequency in a resonator consisting of a probe in the form of a vertical segment of a long line immersed in liquid, short-circuited at its lower end and connected at the upper end with an extension cable. Measurement purpose is achieved by forming on the basis of one probe two resonators with different lengths of extension cables connected to the probe via a controlled key; by alternating excitation of electromagnetic oscillations in these resonators at a resonant frequency; by approximation of experimental dependences of resonance frequencies on the level and conductivity of an electrically conducting liquid; by determination from the measured resonance frequencies of the level and conductivity from the solution of the system of two equations formed by the approximating functions.
EFFECT: proposed method of measurement and the device for its implementation make it possible to eliminate this error, providing a high level measurement accuracy.
