FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oilfield equipment, in particular to the design of wellhead sealing devices, and can be used in the extraction of oil by sucker-rod pumps. Wellhead stuffing box includes a ball head fixed to the tee, closed by a cover on top and containing a sealing packing. New one is that threaded parts are made at the cover ends. Screws are screwed into these parts passing through the holes drilled on the edges of the two plate rings. Each plate ring is made with radial slits of equal length and width. Petals between the radial slits have the same dimensions, are bent upward and form a hollow truncated cone tapering upward. At the ends of the petals of both plate rings, a cylindrical wall is made, the diameter of which is selected slightly less than the diameter of the wellhead rod. Each plate ring is divided by a vertical plane into two identical halves. Petals of the halves of the plate rings located on top are opposite the radial slits of the other half of the plate ring. Hardness of the material of both plate rings is less than the hardness of the working surface of the wellhead rod.

EFFECT: technical result is to improve the efficiency of the wellhead seal.
