FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of neutralizing of the biological treatment facilities activated sludge used in industry or municipal services. Activated sludge neutralization contains method preliminary laboratory analyzes to determine moisture content, microbiological indices, i.e., number and composition of microflora, number of colony forming units (CFUs) of bacteria and micromycetes, as well as the content of the most hazardous metals, i.e., lead, cadmium, zinc, copper, nickel, chromium, mercury, arsenic, after which, depending on the acquired data, sludge is neutralized by simultaneous reduction of moisture, a decrease in the metal content and stimulation of actinomycetes and bacteria multiplication due to the simultaneous addition of organic substances to the active sludge from the range: cattle manure, straw, peat, sunflower husks, mineral fertilizers or combinations thereof, as well as calcium-containing additives, in particular gypsum.
EFFECT: use of the present invention allows to neutralize the active sludge and to enable its secondary use.
