SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used to determine damage points on cable power lines and communication cable lines. Device comprises a pulse meter, a radiotelephone, a source of radioactive radiation installed in the center of a lead container in a vertical channel along its axis of symmetry. In the lower part of the container there is a shutter, consisting of a lid in the center of which a vertical narrow-angle output channel is made. At the same time, the gate with its right end portion is elastically connected to the cover by a spacer spring. On the container there is an autonomous control unit consisting of a time relay, a timer for time relay and a storage battery, and an ejector electromagnet is rigidly attached to the cover, consisting of a radiation-resistant winding connected to the output of a time relay, and a steel anchor rod rigidly attached to the left side of the bolt, and in the lower right part of the cover there is a stop, the distance from which to the axis of symmetry of the vertical channel of the container is equal to the distance from the axis of symmetry of the vertical pass channel to the right edge of the shutter.

EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of reducing the radiation impact of radioactive radiation on the operator's body, as well as increased accuracy of damage spot detection of cable damage.
