FIELD: sealing engineering. SUBSTANCE: end seal may be used for sealing of rotating shafts of mechanisms with high pressure of sealed liquid. End seal has sealing moving contact formed by members of rotating and stationary assemblies interacting along sealing collar. At least one of assemblies includes supporting ring interacting with body in radial direction through secondary seal and antifriction ring interacting with supporting ring in axial direction along circular collar positioned in diametric limits of sealing collar input edge and secondary seal. In this case, front edge of circular collar is formed by diametric side of circular groove in which sealing ring is arranged. Secondary seal line is located within 0.7-0.75 of sealing collar width from its input edge. Antifriction ring is provided with grooves one of which is circular groove coupled with sealed liquid cavity by tangential grooves. Internal diameter of circular groove forms input edge of sealing collar, and its external diameter and external diameter of antifriction ring form hydrodynamic step which provides for angle of confusion of moving contact clearance determined by formula: where F is equivalent force of hydrodynamic pressure curve, N; L is force F action arm, cm; R is equivalent force of rubber ring action, N; E is modulus of elasticity of antifriction ring, MPa; I_s is inertial moment of antifriction ring section, cm⁴; K is force R action arm, cm, which has value depending on location of circular collar determined by inequality 0,25b+0,4D≤K≤b+0,4D, where b is sealing collar width, cm; D is diameter of sealing ring section, cm. EFFECT: extended service life.
