FIELD: methods and devices for marking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of identification of material resources and can be used for product marking. Method for creating an identification mark on a metallic carrier includes performing an electric discharge between a high voltage electrode and a carrier when the electrode is moved along and across the information grid on the carrier according to the law of random numbers followed by the application of a digital code. As a carrier with an information grid, a metal filter is used, while the discharge energy is selected from the range of 0.5 to 12 J for a pulse duration of 10-4 to 10-3 s.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create an identification mark that can be installed on any dielectric and metal products.
