FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for adaptive automatic control of pressure of supercharging air of a diesel generator (DG). Use: diesel power plants. Proposed device comprises, for supercharging DG (1–2), TSU (9–12) with air bearings and booster electrical machine (BEM) 12 built into turbocompressor (9) intake cavity and excited by permanent magnets (19); in case of abrupt change of load to DG (1–2), change in fuel supply by means of regulator (5) and two-stage time-dependent adaptive action on electromagnetic moment of BEM (12) are performed as per signals of PID-controller (38): at the first step, its value or jump is changed abruptly by acting on the BEM logic control unit (27), at the second stage it is returned to the previous mode with subsequent correction of the electromagnetic moment by the air pressure feedback signal sent by sensor (40).
EFFECT: technical result is increased reliability and service life of turbo-supercharging unit (TSU) of DG; improved intake capacity of DG, and so forth.
