FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a silicon material, used as an active material of the negative electrode of accumulator batteries. Proposed is a new silicon material which has an Si/O atomic ratio in the range of more than 1/0.5 and not more than 1/0.1 and a band gap in the range of more than 1.1 eV and not more than 2.1 eV.
EFFECT: accumulator battery in which this silicon material is used as an active material of the negative electrode has an improved initial efficiency and a long service life.
