FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of composite porous carbonaceous sorbents. As initial components are represented by moistened montmorillonite containing clay and vegetal carbon-containing base in form of grain hulling products and technical crops. One performs mixing mineral and vegetable components in weight ratio of dry substance 1:(1-2.5). Then heat treatment is performed at 450-700 °C and activation by water vapour at 750-850 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain composite sorbent with large volumes of micro pores and meso pores, which enables its use in treatment of water and soil from radionuclides and heavy metal ions, organic dyes.
