FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the manufacture of electrochemical devices, such as solid oxide fuel cells, electrolysers. To synthesize a nano-sized powdered material based on the scandate of lanthanum, the mixture of the lattice-forming components and dopant is heated in the presence of a combustible organic compound, which is easily oxidized and does not introduce contaminants into the resulting product, before the combustion reaction proceeds. In this case, strontium carbonate is used as the dopant. Scandium and lanthanum oxides are used as lattice-forming components. Lanthanum oxide and strontium carbonate are dissolved in nitric acid until a solution of lanthanum and strontium nitrates is obtained. In the resulting solution, scandium oxide is dissolved. Resulting mixture is heated in the presence of fuel, which is ethylene glycol, before the combustion reaction proceeds. Synthesized powder is decarbonated by afterburning in air for 1 hour at a temperature of 800 °C.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a single-phase nanoscale, highly active sintering powder based on the scandal of lanthanum to produce high-density ceramics without the use of expensive scandium salts.
