PRESSURE SENSITIVE SURGICAL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VITRECTOMY Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B3/16 A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2651086 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. System for providing irrigation in the patient's eye during a medical surgical procedure comprises an infusion line configured to house a fluid source in the fluid communication with the patient's eye. Infusion line comprises a flexible elongate element having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen extending therethrough from the proximal end to the distal end, wherein the lumen is configured to pass the irrigation fluid into the patient's eye; the contacting member at the distal end, wherein contacting member being made more rigid in comparison with said flexible elongated member and configured to penetrate into the vitreous chamber of the patient's eye; and at least three pressure sensors located within the infusion line and configured to measure one or more pressure values in the infusion line during a medical surgical procedure, wherein at least three pressure sensors are configured to determine the pressure difference associated with interference in the flow path along the infusion line between two of the at least three pressure sensors, that the interference in the flow path can be located between two pressure sensors associated with a pressure difference indicative of interference in the flow path. Method of treating ophthalmic pathology involves inserting a probe through a sclera into a vitreous chamber of the patient's eye; introduction of the infusion line; measuring the pressure in the vitreous chamber and setting the parameter of the vitreous removal operation based on the results of measuring the pressure in the vitreous chamber.

EFFECT: application of this group of inventions will increase the effectiveness of treatment.
