FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cylinder housing (2) made in the form of a thin-walled composite structure for pressure cylinder (1), and cylinder housing (2) comprising a support structure (4) including inner tube (6) with axially spaced ends (7, 8), and first and second end pieces (10, 11) in the region of said ends (7, 8) of inner tube (6). Composite structure (12) made of fiber-reinforced plastics material is located on outer surface (13) of inner tube (6). On outer surface (16) of first and second end members (10, 11), several rod-like winding aids (17) protruding over outer surface (16) and arranged in the form of rods are distributed around each perimeter. Rod-like winding aids (17) are so strong that when the filaments of composite structure (12) are applied, the winding process can be performed, in which the individual threads of composite structure (12) on the corresponding side axially facing away from each other in deflection region (18) are circled around at least one of rod-like winding aids (17). After composite structure (12) is formed, rod-like winding aids (17) are plastically deformed and are embedded in composite structure (12) at least in separate regions. Invention also relates to pressure cylinder (1) with such cylinder housing (2) and a method for manufacturing it.

EFFECT: invention provides for the manufacture of a cylinder housing made in the form of a thin-walled composite structure, in which the application of the threads of the composite structure can be carried out simply and reliably and at the same time additional processing operations of the composite structure are eliminated, as well as cutting it.
