FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective damping structures from polymer composite materials and methods for their production and can be used in vehicles, in individual protection means, in various explosion-proof devices, in containers for transportation of especially dangerous loads and in road enclosures. Damping element design consists of thin-wall corrugated shell made of glass or organic fibres, the cavities of which are filled on one or both sides with foamed polymer of low density. According to the manufacturing method, a special shaping layer-substrate of an anti-adhesion material having a similar corrugated profile is placed on the mandrel in the form of a body of revolution or some other convex shape, and along the profile ribs, a complex tape is formed, which is formed from reinforcing threads of transverse (circular) direction laid in the profile cavities, and threads of longitudinal (axial) direction in the form of closed zigzag loops around transverse threads laid on the projecting ribs of the profile. Length of the closed loops is formed with the help of the special appliance, which ensures tight coverage of the whole contour of the ribs with longitudinal threads and obtaining a monolithic composite material. Then, recesses are filled between ribs with foamed polymer material - foamed polyurethane on the outer side of the corrugated shell, and after removal of the shaping substrate layer from the inner side.
EFFECT: invention provides higher specific damping characteristics by more than 2 times compared to existing structures of damping structures based on foamed polyurethane fillers.
