FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatric dentistry, and is intended for use in the manufacture of children's individual protective dental splints. Get full anatomical prints from the upper and lower jaws. Plaster models are cast using imprints and teeth of permanent bite are marked on them. After, with the help of wax, simulate the teeth of a permanent bite, anticipating their future size. If the teeth are not tight and form tremors and diastems, then in the area of this tooth add another 1–2 mm, before contact with the proximal tooth. From the first model with the “formed” permanent teeth from the wax, a cast is made and a duplicating gypsum model is cast. On the obtained duplicating models, the boundaries of the future protective bus are marked and gypsum in the articulator in the position of the central occlusion. Model of the upper jaw, together with a removable basement area, is removed from the articulator and placed in a thermoforming apparatus. Plate is selected of ethylene – vinyl acetate copolymer and fixed in apparatus. Plate is warmed up. Heated plate is placed upon dental model. Under pressure, the plate takes the shape of the dentition, the alveolar process and the sky. Duplicating model is extracted and trimmed at the previously noted boundary. After model is fixed in the articulator and heated from the side of the antagonists. After articulator is closed and on the surface of the kapa, retention points are formed from the teeth of antagonists of the opposite jaw, overlapping their crowns in the frontal area by one third of them. Finished product is polished and disinfected.
EFFECT: method allows to increase prophylaxis of injuries of the maxillofacial region in children involved in sports and taking part in contact sports, while ensuring unimpeded growth of permanent teeth in the individual protective dental bus.
