DEVICES FOR NON-INVASIVE NEUROMODULATION OF THE PATIENT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61N1/05 A61N1/36

Abstract RU 2652571 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Intraoral device for non-invasive neuromodulation of the patient comprises an elongate body with front and back regions and a non-flat upper outer surface. Device contains a positioning pad and a printed circuit board. Pad is attached to the upper surface of the body to minimize contact between the patient's upper teeth and the upper outer surface of the elongate body. Printed circuit board is mounted on the lower portion of the elongate housing and comprises a plurality of electrodes for providing a transcutaneous local electrostimulation of the patient's tongue. Rear region has a larger volume than the front region, so that the product of the density and volume of the rear region is larger, than the product of the density and volume of the anterior region, which causes the center of gravity to be located in the posterior region. In one embodiment, the anterior and posterior regions have approximately equal densities. In other embodiments, the anterior region has a greater density than the posterior region, or the posterior region has a greater density than the anterior region.

EFFECT: it is possible to combine non-invasive neuromodulation therapy with traditional neurorehabilitation.
