SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF PROVIDING THE NON-INVASIVE NEURO-REHABILITATION OF THE PATIENT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61N1/05

Abstract RU 2665385 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical technology, namely to the means of non-invasive neurostimulation of the subject's brain. System comprises a mouthpiece including an elongated body with a printed circuit board having a plurality of electrodes, a control circuit, cable for connection to a controller including a microcontroller located inside the three-dimensional u-shaped element, wherein the microcontroller is configured to direct electrical control signals to the mouthpiece that determine the amplitude and duration of electrical signals applied to the patient's tongue, and at least one (i) accelerometer for measuring a patient's activity level, (ii) data logger for recording information related to a patient's activity level, (iii) language recognition circuit for determining whether the patient's tongue is in contact with a plurality of electrodes disposed at the bottom of the mouthpiece, (iv) clock for determining the total time of use of the mouthpiece, or (v) audible indicator that can alert the patient if the remaining battery power is insufficient to complete the treatment session. In the second embodiment of the system, there is a first communication module supplying an electric current to the electrodes through a control circuit, and a second communication module located within the housing, connected and interacting with the first communication module.

EFFECT: use of a group of inventions makes it possible to expand the arsenal of non-invasive neurostimulation of the brain of the subject.
