FIELD: navigation system.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigational instrument making and can find application in vehicle navigation systems. To this end, calculation unit (310) is used to build database (350) to enable the traffic path prediction for vehicle (100). In this case, the following is provided: determination (401) of the geographic position of the vehicle by positioning unit (330); determination (402) of the direction of movement of the vehicle at a certain (401) geographical position; measurement (403) of at least one location-dependent parameter at a certain (401) geographic position; and database (350) storage (404) of measured (403) location-dependent parameter in association with determined (402) direction of the vehicle and determined vehicle's geographic position (401).
EFFECT: technical result is expansion of functional capabilities.
