Transverse colon mesentery is crossed from the side of the saclesser omental sac, beginning with the level of the lower edge of the tail of pancreas. Lienocolic ligament is crossed by pulling the transverse colon up and laterally.

EFFECT: method provides improved visualization of the pancreas, spleen, splenic hilum, the safe intersection of the transverse colon mesentery and lienocolic ligament, reduces the time of surgery and reduces intraoperative complications.
