FIELD: animal breeding.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for injecting gases into an animal eye. Hand-held gaseous injector comprises syringe body with an outlet, a plunger slidably disposed in the syringe body, and with the syringe body, defining a first chamber within the syringe body, a metering device configured at least partially in the syringe body to control the volume of at least a first chamber when a first fluid is fed into the first chamber. Metering device comprises protrusions or a latch, matched with various protrusions. Each of the protrusions comprises a surface, which is configured to contact a protrusion of a movable selector or a latch to limit movement of the plunger to each of various positions. Each position corresponds to a different volume of the first chamber. Device may further comprise a filling mechanism, configured to direct the first fluid into the first chamber of the syringe body to displace the plunger and expand the first chamber.

EFFECT: use of the invention will allow the treatment of certain eye traumas, disorders and diseases.
