SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for the operation of an artificial light source (ALS), in particular, to the operation of gas discharge lamps or incandescent lamps. The device for the operation of an artificial light source (according to the first version) contains a generator with windings emitting a high-frequency electromagnetic field, the secondary winding of which is inside the primary winding. The windings are arranged horizontally or vertically with respect to an artificial light source mounted on the base or in the housing. The generator power supply terminals are connected to the power supply. An artificial light source is located inside or outside the windings and is movable relative to the secondary coil of the generator. The device for the operation of an artificial light source (in the second version) contains generators with windings that emit a high-frequency electromagnetic field, the secondary windings of which are inside the primary windings. The windings are arranged horizontally or vertically with respect to an artificial light source mounted on the base or in the housing. The power supply terminals of the generators connected to the power supply are connected in series or in parallel. An artificial light source is located inside or outside the windings and is movable relative to the secondary coils of the generators.

EFFECT: simplifying the device circuit for the operation of an artificial light source, extracting maximum light output depending on the power consumption and increasing the life of an artificial light source, and reducing the pulsation coefficient of the light flux of an artificial light source.
