SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the isolation and purification of nucleic acids and fragments thereof from biological samples. Magnetic sorbent for isolating and purifying nucleic acids is proposed, which is an aqueous dispersion containing a composite material, which is a nanoparticle of magnetite doped with cations of copper, zinc and cobalt. Nanoparticles are distributed in a silica matrix. Dispersion also contains a chaotropic agent and a reagent for increasing the ionic strength of the solution.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase the efficiency of magnetic isolation of nucleic acids, to increase the selectivity of sorption of nucleic acids and / or nucleic acid fragments longer than 500 bp.
