SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and discloses a method of extracting DNA fragments of a given length from a multicomponent mixture consisting of DNA fragments of different lengths in the presence of a biological matrix based on blood plasma. Method involves two-step preparative extraction of the entire set of DNA fragments with subsequent selection of DNA fragments by length.
EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain a nucleic acid suitable for staging a polymerase chain reaction and preparing DNA libraries for genome sequencing, with a time expenditure of about two hours.
