SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purification of internal combustion engine exhaust gases. Systems and methods of dosing a reductant for the subsequent processing of engine exhaust gases are disclosed. Controlling the opening and closing of the metering valve in the metering system of the reductant occurs with the reduction of pressure pulsations in the dispensing system. Opening of the metering valve occurs in response to a dispensing command exceeding a minimum threshold value, and the differential pressure in the metering valve, which exceeds the threshold pressure drop. Closing of the metering valve occurs either in response to a pressure drop in the metering valve, which falls below the threshold pressure drop, or in response to the actual dosage amount that exceeds the dispensing command.
EFFECT: use of the invention will avoid the high-pressure pulsations, which lead to a decrease in the accuracy of dosing.
