METHOD FOR REMOVING THE BROKEN DISTAL END OF THE FEMORAL BLOCKED INTRAMEDULLARY PIN WITH ONE-STAGE RETROGRADE INTRAMEDULLARY RHEOSTEOSYNTHESIS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B17/56 A61B17/17

Abstract RU 2653268 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and is intended for use in the treatment of fractures and their consequences in form of delayed fusion of false joints and bone defects of the femur, localized in the distal sections of the femoral diaphysis and accompanied by breakage of the distal end of the blocked femoral intramedullary pin. With tools included in the set of installation tools, the broken retrograde pin is unblocked and the proximal end of the broken pin is removed. Produce a medial parapatellar arthrotomy with subsequent longitudinal dilution of the fibers of the patellar ligament. Using an awl, included in the set of installation tools, open the medullary canal. Through the formed hole, the conductor is inserted so that it passes through the channel of the distal end of the broken pin to the central fragment of the femur. Then, using flexible drills, a channel corresponding to the diameter of the pin to be installed is successively formed. Pre-select a blocked intramedullary pin, corresponding to the length of the medullary canal bone. Gguide is attached to the pin. On conductor, using a slotted hammer, the pin is clogged into the medullary canal. When driving, the pin knocks out the distal end of the broken pin, which is then removed through the canal in the proximal femur. Conductor is removed. Produce a distal and proximal blocking of the installed pin. Wounds are sutured in layers. Apply aseptic bandages. Spokes held through the tuberosity of the tibia for traction on the orthopedic table are removed.

EFFECT: method allows to provide a low-traumatic removal of the distal end of the broken blocked intramedullary pin with one-stage retrograde rheosteosynthesis, using the standard set of tools used to install the pin.
