FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to surgery, oncology, cardiology and functional diagnostics, and can be used in predicting complications from cardiovascular system in the immediate postoperative period in elderly and senile patients who underwent operative treatment for biliopancreatoduodenal cancer. In patients with surgical treatment for biliopancreatoduodenal cancer, echocardiographic parameters of ventricular function by determining the index of remodeling of the left chambers of the heart according to the formula:
where IRlks – index of remodeling of the left chambers of the heart, Vlzh – volume of the left ventricle, Vlp is the volume of the left atrium in the diastole phase. In terms of size, IRlks predict the development of heart failure with possible arrhythmia.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the efficiency of diagnosing postoperative cardiovascular complications in elderly and senile patients by evaluating the echocardiographic parameters of ventricular function.
