FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, oncology, cardiology and functional diagnostics, and can be used for predicting complications of the cardiovascular system in the immediate postoperative period in patients who underwent operative treatment for colorectal cancer. For this, in the preoperative period, as well as on the 1st and 10-11th day after operation, Doppler echocardiography is performed. If the myocardial index of total cardiac dysfunction, total for both ventricles, is more than 0.79 in any measurement period, the development of acute left ventricular failure is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides the accuracy of predicting the development of acute left ventricular failure due to the detection of latent hemodynamic disorders, determined by the myocardial index of total cardiac dysfunction, without using expensive equipment and carrying out a large number of laboratory and instrumental studies.
