SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to image processing means. Image processing device includes a processor configured to: decode image data encoded in accordance with the HEVC technology; receive the dynamic range characteristic information associated with the encoded image data, wherein the dynamic range characteristic information includes ISO camera sensitivity information, indicating how the percentage relative to the reference white level is the dynamic range of the luminance of the encoded image data, with a percentage greater than 100 %, the ISO sensitivity information of the camera indicates the sensitivity of the camera during image capture, and the dynamic range characteristic information further includes reference display brightness information, indicating the setting of the reference value for displaying the white encoded image data; and to correct the dynamic range of the decoded image data based on the dynamic range characteristic information.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the accuracy of reproduction of the dynamic range of the image.
