SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the food industry, specifically to salty taste-enhancing composition. Composition includes a compound represented by any of the following general formulae (2) to (6) or a salt thereof and a filler: . Wherein, Q is a heteroatom, q is 0 or 1; m and n each represent an integer from 1 to 4, and m+n is an integer from 3 to 5; m' and n' each is an integer from 1 to 3, and m'+ n' is an integer from 2 to 4; and k is an integer from 0 to 3. Invention also relates to a food additive, seasoning, a food product and a beverage comprising any of the said compounds or salts thereof. Invention relates to a food product and a beverage comprising 10 ppm or more of any of said compounds or salts thereof. Invention relates to a method for enhancing the salty taste of a food product and beverage comprising a step of adding any of said compounds or salts thereof to a food product or salt. Invention relates to the use of a compound represented by any of said general formulae (2) to (6), or a salt thereof, for enhancing salty taste.
EFFECT: invention enables to reduce the salt content of a food additive, seasoning, food product and beverage, having a salty taste and high palatability.
