FIELD: biochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for recovering ammonium sulphate during processing of biomass. Process for recovering ammonium sulphate during processing of biomass into hydrocarbon fuel includes: processing a biomass in a hydropyrolysis reactor resulting in hydrocarbon fuel, char, and a process vapour stream; cooling the process vapour stream to a condensation temperature resulting in an aqueous stream containing ammonia and ammonium sulphide, a liquid hydrocarbon stream, and a cooled vapour product stream comprising non-condensable process vapours, containing H2, CH4, CO and CO2, ammonia and hydrogen sulphide; sending the aqueous stream to a catalytic reactor; injecting air into the catalytic reactor to obtain an aqueous product stream, containing ammonia and ammonium sulphate, wherein hydrogen sulphide is removed from the cooled vapour product stream and hydrogen sulphide is fed into the catalytic reactor together with the aqueous stream to react with ammonia present in the aqueous stream to form ammonium sulphide and then ammonium sulphate. Disclosed is a version of method.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of the method.
