FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a carboxylate ester of a polysaccharide, characterized by fact that it has ester linkages with trimellitic anhydride and is water soluble. Complex carboxylate ester of a polysaccharide is described, in which the polysaccharide is esterified with trimellitic anhydride and in which the degree of polysaccharide substitution is in the range of 1 to 2.5. Also methods for preparation a carboxylate ester of a polysaccharide are disclosed, aqueous solution containing a carboxylate ester of a polysaccharide, a detergent composition for washing, powder, detergent composition for automatic dish washing.
EFFECT: technical result: biodegradable substances are proposed for purification or inhibition of deposits formation in water supply systems that are resistant to hydrolysis at alkaline pH.
