SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing video data. Video distribution system is proposed that transmits a formatted video signal (20) having elementary streams, which represent the audiovisual content to be played in the selected combination and the stream information indicating the selected elementary streams. Formatted video signal is an extended video having an extended range (HDR) of brightness and / or color. Video device (21) processes the input video, where the formatted video signal contains a primary elementary video stream that is a standard or extended video, an elementary video processing stream that does not contain audiovisual content, but containing video processing metadata that is a conversion between standard and extended video, or vice versa, and enhanced stream information containing an entry indicating elementary stream of video processing. Video player (22) allows you to visualize both extended and standard video based on the enhanced stream information and the elementary stream of video processing.

EFFECT: technical result is to provide video distribution system for transmitting video to devices supporting extended range of video, and to standard video devices.
