FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, in particular to methods for collecting atmospheric precipitation from a pitched roof of a building and a device for implementation thereof. Method consists in collecting atmospheric precipitation by holding it in an open sealed container, which is formed from the hermetically connected snow shields vertically arranged along the roof contour at a height of up to half of the height of its ridge and the roof by means of a hermetic connection along their lower edges with the edges of the roof inseparably. Device for collecting atmospheric precipitation from the pitched roof of the building comprises a sealed container for collecting atmospheric precipitation formed in the spaces between the snow shields located vertically along the roof contour at a height of up to half of the height of its ridge, and the roof, made of a thin-walled cold-resistant polymer material by means of a hermetic connection, inseparably along their edges while force fastening to each other through the supporting elements. Device is equipped with two pipelines – one for draining water from the container and the other – for draining water in case of overflow.

EFFECT: technical result is increased operational reliability of the roof.
