FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for arc welding in a protective gas medium of two steel sheets using a welding torch with a consumable electrode. Protective gas having an oxygen potential is supplied from welding torch to consumable electrode α, which is from 1.5 to 5 %, which is determined from given expression depending on the proportion of inert gas, oxygen and carbon dioxide included in protective gas. Oxidising gas having oxygen potential is blown β, which ranges from 15 to 50 %, which is determined from a given expression depending on the ratio of the inert gas, oxygen and carbon dioxide contained in the oxidising gas. At that, rate of oxidising gas flow is from 1 to 3 m/s above welding bead and fifth welded joint, surface temperature of which is 700 °C or higher.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to form welded joint of structural elements with high corrosion resistance due to regulation of slag composition at welded seam.
