FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of welding production. Welding method includes selecting the diameter of the electrodes depending on the thickness of the metal to be welded and the type of the layer of weld beads and the implementation of welding by welding the rollers at a current from the range of currents acceptable for the selected electrodes. In this case, the dependence of the melting time of the coated part of the electrodes on the arc current is predetermined and the welding speed and arc current are determined, which ensure a given cross section of the welding seam. Based on the arc current and the dependence of the melting time, the nominal length of the deposited rollers is calculated, and the welding speed is controlled based on the correspondence of the obtained length of the deposited rollers to their nominal length.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to weld at optimum conditions, which increases the quality of the welded joint.
