SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid crystal display devices. Liquid crystal display device includes a control module that adjusts the brightness of the backlight device using PWM dimming. Backlight device contains n (n ≥ 4) backlight units, turning-on of which is made at different times, turning-on of n backlight units is performed in a sequence different from the sequence, in which these backlight units are located physically, and in a sequence in which there is no continuous activation of the backlight units at both ends.

EFFECT: technical result is to provide an additional flicker reduction.
