FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to anesthesiology, and can be used to ease or eliminate pain completely. Place the electrode in the region of the nerve innervating the part of the body requiring the easing or complete elimination of pain. Fix the electrode with respect to the part of the body that requires easing or complete elimination of pain. Electric AC pulses generated by the electric pulse generator are passed through the electrodes. Positive component of the pulse is larger in amplitude than its negative component. Pulse grows instantly, has a rectangular shape and a linear increase. After a positive pulse, a negative pulse immediately passes without any gaps. Range of the electric pulse frequency is of 625 to 5,000 Hz. Range of voltage applied to the electrodes is of 0 to 30 V.
EFFECT: method provides an increase in the effectiveness of analgesia due to the predominance of the positive component of the electric pulse over the negative, use of the optimal frequency range, which ensures the polarization of cell membranes, a decrease in the dielectric conductivity of the tissue.
