FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering. System uses renewable energy generated by a wind farm or other renewable energy sources. Renewable energy can be used to power a local or national power grid. According to the present invention, at least a part of the renewable energy can be stored by using energy to generate hydrogen and nitrogen. Waste oxygen will be produced as a by-product. Hydrogen and nitrogen are subsequently turned into ammonia, which is stored to be operationally available for an ammonia gas turbine. Gas turbine burns ammonia to generate energy for power grid. Oxygen is supplied to the gas turbine.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the efficient use of renewable energy.
