FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for the preparation of organolithium compounds. Method comprises reacting metallic lithium with alkyl chloride in an inert hydrocarbon solvent medium at a temperature ranging from 20 to 80°C and with a slow supply of alkyl chloride. Metallic lithium is previously activated by the plastic deformation method in combination with the hydrocarbon C20-C30, paraffin, and optionally with metallic sodium, by multiple joint passes through metal rollers with friction, followed by addition of the resulting rolled product and repeating the operation. To protect the metallic lithium from oxidation and to prevent the adhesion of the resulting layers, the rolling at each stage is coated with paraffin so that eventually a layered organometallic composite with a variable number and thickness of metallic lithium layers is obtained.
EFFECT: invention avoids the need to obtain a lithium metal dispersion and achieves a high yield of the desired product.
