FIELD: controlling.

SUBSTANCE: control configuration of the elevator electric drive is formed, used to monitor and adjust the current parameters of the electric engine. The speed setting V = 0 m/s is formed, wherein the starting current signal is generated and the torque of the electric engine is created, sufficient for retaining the elevator cabin after releasing the brake. The load level of the elevator cabin is therein taken into account. At each subsequent start of the electric engine after the elevator cabin is stopped, non-zero initial values of the starting current are set, wherein the current parameters of the electric engines received at the time of stopping of the elevator cabin are taken into account, and the time of achieving a non-zero initial value of the starting current after releasing the brake is set.

EFFECT: increase in the smoothness of movement of the elevator cabin and protection of the electric engine from significant current surges are achieved.
