FIELD: gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the gas industry and can be used in the operation of underground gas storages (UGS) in aquifers, represented by two or more interlayers. In carrying out the method, UGS is operated using several wells. In each of the wells, perforations have opened all the interlayers. Operation of each well is carried out in a mode in which depth-differentiated injection and gas extraction is performed using a simultaneous separate well operation device. Injection of gas into each well is first conducted into the lower stratum, bringing the formation pressure to the value at which the formation water is pushed through the entire aquifer. When this pressure value is reached, the gas injection is simultaneously conducted into the lower interlayer and into all the upper interlayers. Gas extraction is carried out first simultaneously from the lower and all upper interlayers until the reservoir pressure decreases to the critical value of the occurrence of the depression funnel, provoking the breakthrough of the formation water into the bottomhole zone, after the above mentioned moment, gas extraction is carried out only from the upper interlayers.

EFFECT: efficiency of the UGS wells increases.
