SYSTEM AND METHOD TO DETECT SIGNIFICANT ARRHYTHMIC EVENTS THROUGH A PHOTOPLETHYSMOGRAM (PPG) AND ACCELEROMETER Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/24 A61B5/00 A61B5/21 A61B5/11 A61B5/205 A61N1/05 A61N1/365

Abstract RU 2655443 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Medical system for arrhythmic event detection comprises a PPG sensor located on or inside the patient, with the possibility of transmitting a PPG signal to the processor. Accelerometer is placed on or inside the patient with the possibility to transmit pulse and breath signals to the processor. Processor is configured with the possibility of receiving a photoplethysmogram signal generated using a PPG sensor, receiving a pulse and respiration signal generated using an accelerometer, extracting indicia from the PPG signal to form the vectors of the PPG indicia. Formation of PPG-signs vectors includes the selection of signs from the pulse signal to form vectors of signs of the pulse. Correlation of PPG-signs vectors with vectors of pulse signs and estimation of correlated vectors of PPG-signs and correlated vectors of pulse signs for the detection of arrhythmic events are made. Characteristics extracted from the PPG signal include intervals between heartbeats for the pairs of adjacent heartbeats of the last predetermined number of heartbeats. Signs extracted from the heart rate signal include intervals between heartbeats for the pairs of adjacent heartbeats of the last predetermined number of heartbeats.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify the detection of arrhythmic events.
