FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment, it is a method of automated resistance measurement and can be used for remote resistance monitoring in case of their commensurability with the resistance of communication and commutation lines. When implementing the method, the inputs of a two-wire multiplexer are connected to two points of a monitoring object, the outputs of the multiplexer are connected to the inputs of a two-wire resistance meter. Using the multiplexer keys, four commutations and four measurements of the corresponding intermediate resistances are carried out. Using the values of the intermediate measurements the required resistance is determined.

EFFECT: ability to control the resistance of a large number of pairs of points with the help of a two-wire multiplexer, taking into account the resistance of incoming wires and switching elements of the multiplexer, and also to check the integrity of measuring circuits.
