SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to therapy and pulmonology, and can be used in predicting exacerbations of bronchial asthma (BA) in patients with obesity. For this, in patients with bronchial asthma (BA) and concomitant obesity, determine such indicators as: body mass index, leptin level in venous blood, the level of adiponectin in venous blood, the compliance of patients with the "Compliance Scale of Patients with Chronic Nonspecific Lung Diseases," the level of situational anxiety according to the Spielberger anxiety scale, level of depression by the Zung self-rating depression scale. Based on the data obtained, calculate the index of probability of exacerbation of asthma within 1 year of observation (ExBA) according to the developed formula. Based on the obtained ExBA values, predict a low or high risk of developing exacerbations of asthma, with the number of exacerbations per year – 1 time or 2 times or more.

EFFECT: method provides the most accurate and early recognition of patients who need correction of the treatment and prophylaxis system.
