FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of emission control, in particular to a method for monitoring the oxidation-reduction potential in a recirculation tank, or absorber recirculation tank, of a wet flue gas desulphurisation system. Method comprises supplying at least one reducing agent to a slurry or solution in a recirculation tank, or absorber recirculation tank, or at one recirculation pump, reacting the reducing agent with one or more oxidising components and/or ions present in the slurry, or solution in the recirculation tank or absorber recirculation tank, or in a recirculation pump to reduce the oxidation-reduction potential of the recirculation tank, or absorber recirculation tank or recirculation pump, in such a way that addition of the reducing agent enables to control, prevent precipitation or remove the compound precipitated in the recirculation tank or absorber recirculation tank, and reacting reducing agent with one or more oxidising components and/or ions in the slurry or solution in the recirculation tank or the absorber recirculation tank, or in the recirculation pump to reduce the oxidation-reduction potential of the recirculation tank or the absorber recirculation tank, recirculation pump or a combination thereof, the reducing agent being selected from: iron (II) sulphate (FeSO4), phosphorous acid (H3PO3), iron (II) ammonium sulphate ((NH4)2Fe(SO4)2), hydroxylamine hydrochloride (HONH2⋅HCl), hypophosphorous acid (H3PO2) or a combination of two or more.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to control the oxidation-reduction potential in the flow of a mixture of adsorbents, filtrate and / or solution from the gas cleaning system.
