FIELD: measurement; test.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a radar level gauge using electromagnetic waves for determining a filling level of a product in a tank. Radar level gauge (1) comprises transceiver (6), processor circuit (7) for determining the product level, signal propagation device (62, 82) comprising directional antenna (62, 82), which is configured to send the transmitted electromagnetic signal in the direction of the product surface and return the reflection from said surface to the transceiver as an electromagnetic echo. In addition, gauge (1) is provided with an input unit comprising fixed attachment part (23) having a through hole with supporting surface (28a, 28b), electrically conductive adapter (26, 56, 66, 86) of coupling part, coupling means (30, 90) providing electromagnetic coupling between the transceiver and the signal propagation device, and fastening component (43, 75, 103). Part of hollow waveguide (60, 80) connecting transceiver (6) and directional antenna (62, 82) is formed by adapter (26, 56, 66, 86) of coupling part.
EFFECT: technical result is higher versatility of application, since it can be used for any flange of the tank, and can also be matched to various signal propagation devices.
