FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in the designs of seal assemblies of pumps, compressors and other machines. A groove seal of impeller (1) of the pump comprises slit ring (3) installed in pump body (2), and a rabbeted fit of impeller (1) forming double groove seal (5, 6) of the C-shaped shape along the outer and inner diameters of the fit. Slit ring (3) is removable and is C-shaped. Rabbeted fit of impeller (1) is installed in ring (3) with the formation of balancing chamber (6) between seals (5, 6) in the outer and inner diameters of the fit.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the sealing efficiency, increasing the pressure, improvement of cavitation characteristics and simplification of the design, providing better maintainability and manufacturability.
